Hotel Corps de Garde is located in the center of Groningen. The monumental building from 1634 has served as a hotel since 1991 and was completely restored in the summer of 2021 and given a modern look. Hotel Corps de Garde consists of 19 rooms. In Brasserie Corps you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and a freshly prepared lunch. After an afternoon of discovering Groningen, you are welcome to enjoy a good glass of wine in peace. In the basement, part of the old city wall has been left intact and this space is perfect for meetings, tastings or a cozy drink with friends and family. Hotel Halbert

As soon as you enter the Oude Boteringestraat in Groningen, you experience the rich history of the city. Here you can admire the oldest and best preserved parts of the historic city. This street tells stories from the past. Like the story of Professor Tjalling Joostes Halbertsma. It was this professor Halbertsma who fell for a characteristic building whose facade is decorated with wooden spandrels and floral motifs. A facade that changes color with every season, making the street seem to be constantly in motion. It is therefore not surprising that Tjalling Halbertsma chose this building to found his family.
